Recognizing Anova Technical Services for Responsible Business Operations

In December 2022, Anova Technical Services, led by Blane Olson, received one of the highest honors granted by the U.S. Department of State — the Award for Corporate Excellence (ACE) in the category of Responsible Business Operations.

Presented by the U.S. Secretary of State, the ACE Award recognizes American companies that exemplify ethical leadership, sustainability, and social impact in their global operations. Anova was honored for its pioneering work in seafood traceability, Fair Trade certification, and community development across Indonesia and the Asia–Pacific region.

First Fair Trade USA–certified seafood program — ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and empowerment of local fishers.
Over US$1.5 million returned to fishing communities through Fair Trade premiums funding education, health, and safety projects.
Developed a full “ocean-to-plate” traceability system ensuring accountability and sustainability throughout the supply chain.
Women in leadership: 80% of Anova’s senior management in Bali are women.
